When a Trident or Silver Bay buyer calls offering $2.10/lb on your king salmon, the AI is configured (price_quote_mode='take_only') to capture the buyer's offer + lot weight + delivery window + wire-transfer terms, then SMS-page you to confirm. It NEVER quotes a price on your behalf. Protects you from a low-balled commitment made while you were elbow-deep in a fish hold.

Off-grid for 14 days — on-reconnect digest works

If you've been at sea on sketchy Starlink / HF radio for 2 weeks, the 7am daily-email digest is useless. Owner-configured 'On-reconnect mode' batches every call into a single arrival-at-dock summary + SMS-with-callback for each individual call. You walk into the cannery with a printed log of every buyer, broker, USCG inspector, and accountant call from your trip. Spouse-managed billing (delegate access)

If someone calls me reporting a capsize or MOB — will the AI route them to 911 or USCG?

USCG. The AI is system-prompted (safety.ts rule 11d) to route maritime distress to VHF Channel 16 + the appropriate USCG sector phone, never 911. We hard-coded this because 911 wastes minutes the caller does not have at sea. If you fish a region we missed in the sector directory, email hello@ringdispatch.com.

Will the AI commit me to a fish-price the buyer offers?

No. Price_quote_mode is set to 'take_only' for commercial-fishing accounts — the AI captures the buyer's offer + lot details and SMS-pages you to confirm. You can configure an 'auto-accept above $X.YZ/lb' threshold if you want the AI to lock in any offer above your minimum.

I'm at sea on sketchy Starlink for 14 days — daily-email digests are useless. What do I get?

On-reconnect digest mode is on the roadmap (not shipped today — flagged in USER_TODO). For now, you can configure per-call SMS-with-callback for any high-priority caller (your insurance broker, your processor dispatcher) so you only see SMS for the calls that matter when bandwidth is intermittent. Full at-sea owner workflow is in development; tell us this is your dealbreaker.

Can my wife in Sitka run the dashboard while I'm at sea?

Yes — delegate access lets your spouse / child / bookkeeper review calls, reply to dispatchers via SMS, and pay the bill. Settings → Account → Delegates. Audit log captures every action. This is a first-class workflow, not an admin hack.

Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian voice support for SE Alaska callers?

Not yet — our voice synthesis provider does not support any Indigenous North American languages today. Callers in those languages get English fallback. We are tracking the carrier ETA + advocating for Indigenous language support; tell us if this is your biggest community.
