For dry cleaners + laundromats

AI Receptionist for Dry Cleaners + Laundromats

Solo + small-team dry cleaners, laundromats, uniform services, alterations shops. Most calls are simple: hours, "is my order ready," stain / tear / fabric questions. The AI handles them while you press a shirt — repeat customers greeted by name + multilingual for Korean / Chinese / Spanish / Polish neighborhood clientele.

What your callers hear

Thanks for calling — are you checking on an order, asking about hours, or do you have a question about something to clean?

Built for the calls dry cleaners + laundromats actually get

"Is my order ready?" — your #1 call type

Customer drops off Tuesday, calls Wednesday: "is my dry-cleaning ready?". The AI looks up the customer's saved phone-number history + checks ticket-ready status from your POS knowledge-base entries. Honest disclosure: we don't integrate with most POS systems live; the AI captures the question + texts the caller as soon as you mark the order ready.

Long-term-customer recognition (Mrs. Park since 1998)

Many dry-cleaning shops have customers who've been with them 20-30 years. The AI greets known phone numbers by saved first name in the caller's saved language (Korean for Mrs. Park: "안녕하세요 박사모님"). This is the relationship moat — getting it right is core to the business.

Korean / Mandarin / Cantonese / Spanish clientele

Many dry cleaners are first-generation Korean / Chinese / Latino-immigrant owned with matching customer bases. Pick a per-language voice in Settings (Korean: JiYoung / Taemin / Hyun Bin; Mandarin: Amy / Sage / LiuPing; Spanish: Eduardo / Valeria / Juan Carlos). Honest gap: Cantonese is NOT supported by our TTS — Cantonese-speaking customers fall back to Mandarin or English.

Stain + tear + fabric expertise

Customer texts a photo of a wine stain on a silk dress + asks: "can you save this?" The AI surfaces your knowledge-base fabric + stain rules (silk = yes for red-wine if treated within 24hr; rayon = avoid heat; leather = specialty handling, $40 surcharge). Honest about what you can / can't promise without seeing the garment in person.

How it works for dry cleaners + laundromats

  • MMS photo intake for stain pre-assessment

Customer texts a photo of the stain before drop-off. Photo auto-attaches to the customer's record. You see the stain before they walk in — better turn-around + accurate up-front quote.

  • Hours + holiday hours accuracy

List standard hours + closures (Christmas Day, Lunar New Year, Korean Thanksgiving / Chuseok, Easter Monday if your community closes for it). The AI quotes accurately to every caller.

  • Volume-tier honesty

60+ calls/day is common for dry cleaners. Enterprise tops at ~500 calls / 2,000 min — you'll blow past that. Email hello@ringdispatch.com with your daily volume + average call duration; we'll quote a custom Volume tier (or honestly tell you that you'll over-pay on overage and shouldn't sign up yet). Same volume-tier-mismatch raised by 6+ personas; we're working on a real solution.

FAQ for dry cleaners + laundromats

Will the AI recognize Mrs. Park who's been my customer since 1998?

Yes, once her phone number is saved in your customer database (either imported from your POS or learned over the first few calls). The AI greets her by saved first name in her saved language — Korean by default if you've flagged her record that way. The 20-year-relationship continuity matters; the AI should never make Mrs. Park feel like a stranger.

Cash-only / no-card billing — supported?

RingDispatch billing itself is Stripe card-only — same gap older Asian + Amish + cash-heavy small biz hit. Your CUSTOMER billing (how customers pay you) is whatever your POS does + you don't need RingDispatch billing to match. ACH-by-check for your subscription is on the roadmap.

My daughter helps with admin Sundays — can she have her own login?

Not yet. One subscription = one Stripe account + one login. Multi-user / family-helper seat is on the roadmap (5 personas have asked for this now — Margaret + Becca + Marcus + Jacob + Yong). For now, share your login with your daughter; we know this isn't ideal.

Cantonese / Taiwanese Mandarin clientele — handled?

Cantonese is NOT supported by our TTS provider — honest disclosure. Cantonese-speaking customers fall back to Mandarin (close-but-not-the-same) or English. Mandarin voices ship Mainland / Beijing accent; Taiwanese Mandarin is subtly distinct (softer tones + Taiwan-specific vocabulary) — your Taiwanese customers will notice the cadence difference. We're sourcing dialect-specific voices through our provider.
